About RickyB
My full name is Ricky Boucher. For most of my life I went by "Rick" but I'm finding in my adult years it's okay to have a name that is sort of, well, youthful. Plus it's a big advantage when I'm trying to get people to sign up for a private lesson as they seem to remember "RickyB." Guests that I've skied with over the years seem to more easily recall who they skied with at Monarch when they remember me as RickyB. Guests like to have someone fun to ski with, even if their goal is to improve their skills. I like to think that the name RickyB somehow contributes.
I was first certified with Professional Ski Instructors of America in 1980. Just before taking the "full-cert" exam in '82, I hurt myself in a ski race and did not get back into skiing until about 1990. Then in '97 I got back into teaching again. Since then I've been actively seeking the highest levels of certification I can attain. My life is consumed with being a better skier and instructor. I hope to spend my time as a ski instructor pretty much year round, except for the month or two between seasons starting and ending in the northern and southern hemispheres.
Come to Monarch where we have some of the best snow in the world, and ask for me, RickyB. I'll do my best to make sure you have a good time.
